  • SubTrap 18/22 .

    $699.00$899.00
So, you bought a new sub and were trying to reach the musical blue sky...but you ended up with the subwoofer blues. You thought maybe deep bass was supposed to sound this way: drab, sluggish and boring. You keep the volume turned down and the crossover set low so your sub can “support” the bottom end without drowning out the music. But... you know you can do better. It's time for a subwoofer stand! Now you can "raise" your subwoofer to its full performance potential! The SubTrap is more than a simple vibration isolation stand. In addition to isolation, it absorbs excess bass (the BAD bass) and decouples your subwoofer from room modes. Once you hear the difference, you’ll never go back! Only from ASC. Installation and integration could not be easier; just slip a SubTrap underneath your sub. You'll instantly improve sonic detail, changing “fuzzy” playback into a richly detailed picture by lowering the running noise floor of the room in the all-important low bass range. You'll hear musical bass lines you never knew existed! Utilizing our patented Isothermal technology to boost the low bass performance, the ASC SubTrap should be the foundation of your acoustic control plan. From there, build your musical experience with rich harmonics and a lush, immersive soundstage.

  • QuickSoundField

    $2,556.00$12,780.00
The QuickSoundField is a near field recording environment that allows you get the most sound, at the highest quality, into your mics. The QSF can transform the center of an ordinary untreated room into a lush recording space. It works great for all types of recordings, from tracking drums and vocals in wide open spaces to close miking guitar amps in close quarters. The QSF uses the principles of "sound fusion" to maximize the quality - and quantity - of sound reaching your mics. StudioTraps encircle the mic and talent create a recording space that is sonically decoupled from the room acoustics. Inside the QSF the sonic quality remains consistent from one setup to another without the need for studio notes. The talent is free to move around while recording and no one can hear the change in position. Most important is that what the talent hears inside the QSF is what they hear in the control room.
  • ASC SoundPlanks are the perfect companion to ASC TubeTraps for complete control of the acoustics in your room.  After the bass range is under control, the SoundPlanks further improve imaging and flutter echo without taking up any floor space.  Install approximately 16" on center near early reflection points for optimal results.  Install with less spacing for a more "dry" sound. • MonitorStand

    $499.00$3,500.00
A monitor speaker stand is a studio must. A typical monitor speaker on a stand is located about half way between the floor and the ceiling. The floor/ceiling bounce returns back to the monitor out of phase. This imposes a phase cancel effect on the speaker’s output; for example, the first cut is around 74 Hz for 8’ ceilings, causing the engineer to boost 74 Hz in the mix unnecessarily. The ASC MonitorStand "stack" upsets the vertical symmetry in the room and minimizes this negative acoustic feedback. The lower Trap (Base) absorbs bass, whereas the upper Trap (Top) stops short of the ceiling and vents bass. The combination eliminates the phase cancel effect and lets the engineer work in a linear environment. Whether part of an ASC ATTACK Wall system or in a stand-alone configuration, ASC MonitorStands give you more than just simple support for the physical placement of your monitoring system; it also dramatically improves the monitor and room accuracy. Works with nearly every monitor speaker made today, from a little Focal CMS65 to the large Genelec 8361 or Westlake BSSM12 -- and everything in between.

  • WallDamp .

    $43.75$165.00
With the IsoWall System, you get walls & ceilings that reduce sound transmission by 20dB or greater compared to standard interior walls. That is more than quadruple the perceived sound volume reduction, which is what makes our wall system the highest available using standard single-stud construction. Internally, the walls are tempered to move with the air pressure of bass frequencies. Where a rigid wall would shudder at high volumes (similar to the distortion in an overdriven speaker) and raise the noise floor of the room considerably, an IsoWall will "bend" with the pressure and absorb the sub bass sound wave while allowing the bass waves to reverberate cleanly. • The ASC Acoustic Test Signal

To explore the musical intelligibility and the sonic image-ability of your audio system... Play the MATT test first over headphones and then in your room.  You hear a scale of rapid tone bursts that any HiFi system should be able to reproduce.  Your system could but it can't because the room keeps getting in the way.  Then concentrate on the sound stage.  It's a mono signal and the image should stay stage center, tight and focused, but it doesn't. This test is a rapid gated slow sine sweep.  It demonstrates the musical clarity vs frequency of the HiFi system in your room.  In some ranges of sound you will hear strong rapid dynamic sound level changes while in other ranges the tone bursts blur together in reverberant chaos.  You can also hear the more familiar peaks and valleys of your room.  Then play it again but this time close your eyes and concentrate on the sound stage of this perfectly mono signal.  In some tone ranges the image stays put; stage center, small and tight, where it belongs.  But the next tone range sees the image lose focus and fluff up into a ball of fog. And yet another sees the image up and wander off, flying around the sound stage like Peter Pan. The objective of performing the MATT test in your listening room is to determine where you might move your speakers, listening position, and/or where to add acoustic treatment to your room to obtain the highest quality sound possible from the components in your listening environment. How fast is your room? Most audiophiles know how loud they can play their room before it begins to break up. Even the speakers have a breakup threshold, above which we begin to hear cone breakup and box buzz. The MATT test is an easy way to ring out your room without risking doing damage to structure or gear due to sustained power at one frequency. At lower sound levels it checks out the room acoustic part of your listening experience, sorting out clear dynamic bandwidths from blurred bandwidths.

  • Professional Recording In-Line Mufflers

Recording studios and rooms with quiet requirements need dampened HVAC supply and return ducting. ASC designs and manufactures in-line mufflers, noise-reducing outlet diffusers, and duct baffle inserts. Most residential and commercial HVAC equipment creates too much noise for use in recording studios. We build specialty mufflers that combine built-in bass traps with standard treble range absorbing panels. Our solutions not only deliver air into rooms silently but also reduce the acoustic crosstalk between rooms through the HVAC ducts.
  • MixClouds offer studios the broadband acoustic control and noise reduction they need to control flutter while mixing tracks. This is more than an easy to hang flat panel product. ASC includes the MixCloud as part of an overall custom acoustic plan for your studio, so there’s no guesswork.
