The unique and effective design of Half Round TubeTraps combine broadband absorption, diffusion, and directional control of sound reflections to reduce noise levels while maintaining room brightness and enhancing image resolution.

Used mainly by audiophiles and recording engineers, the Fractional TubeTrap is used to fine tune room acoustics. Built-in diffusive wide angle treble backscattering above 400Hz and absorption down to 55Hz maintain room brightness and enhances detail and articulation as well as image resolution. ASC custom builds your Fractional just the way you want it, because no two rooms are exactly alike.
Absorption coefficient indicates the relative efficiency of an acoustic treatment device for reducing reverberation in a particular frequency band. The surface area of the unit can be multiplied by the coefficient to find the number of sabins provided by that unit, which can be used to predict RT60 times in critical audio rooms. See chart below.

Standard HalfRound TubeTraps include polycylindrical diffusers centered at the apex of the curve. These scatter incident treble range sound, reducing the level of individual reflections by increasing the quantity. When units are positioned around 10″ apart, the strong absorptive properties in the lower frequencies cause bass waves to diffract so that the reflected angle does not match the incident angle, helping to reduce standing waves and phase interference. Standard Height
- Standard TubeTraps products are built taller than the nominal listed height by 1/2″ to 3/4″
- Maximum available single height for any full-round product is 48 1/2″

Custom Heights
These are built within 1/8″ tolerance.
- A 13 x 3ft TubeTrap will have a diameter of 13 3/8″ and a length of approximately 36 5/8″
- A 16 x 46″ Custom made TubeTrap, which will have a diameter of 16 3/8″ and a length of 46″ +/- 1/8″
