ASC 'X' Baffles were designed for and installed at the University of Oregon print shop to attenuate the loud noise generated by the presses. 'X' Baffles, measure 4' by 4' wide and 2' tall. They are made of acoustic grade fiberglass, sealed and covered with fine mesh geotextile. This fire rated durable finish is particularly suitable for industrial applications.

Any large space with high open ceilings will benefit from 'X' Baffles which improve on standard flat panel baffles by addressing directional sound waves. A loud noise source from a large machine such as a punch press will generate directional sound which broadcast in all directions. This can create a hazardous work environment because personnel can't hear each other on the factory floor.

That's why the 'X' Baffle should be considered as part of an OSHA compliance plan to bring noise levels down to acceptable limits.
