Soundproofing Sales

Overview

We are looking for someone with the knack for sales who has residential construction experience and is ready to hammer home some sales. ASC is the industry leader in high end audio acoustics. Your job will be to cultivate sales relationships with home theater builders, and builders in general, mainly contractors.

In most cases, sales leads either call in or email, so there is very little cold calling involved. Good communication skills are a must. This includes phone manners, clear voice, good vocabulary and pronunciation. Computer skills are a must, and it will be useful to have some music, video or audio experience.

We work with people who are remodeling basements to put in home theaters or home recording studios. Our customers want to do a noise control project and we design the project, design, build and ship all the parts they need, with install instructions.

The applicant needs to be interested in learning new things, in this case, soundproofing and general acoustic concepts. You will work with our engineers to resolve the problem and design the remedy, then see the project through to the end user.

The applicant needs to be a good self-starter, but when needed, a great team player. Also, needs to be a quick study, fast to learn and fast to apply what is learned. Applicant does not have to know about soundproofing or acoustics, this training will be provided on the job. The applicant should be organized, multi-tasker, even tempered and not afraid of independent learning.

Skills Preferred but not Required

  • At least some college education
  • Residential construction work and/or blueprint reading
  • Self motivated, with endurance and follow through
  • Phone sales and/or tech support
  • Computer savvy
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Previous sales training
  • Audio, sound equipment, music, hi-fi, home theater, or recording studio background
